Job Details:
Facility in need of a locum neurosurgery to cover ALL the dates below!

Start Date:

• November 24 at 6am – December 1 at 6am
• December 22 at 6am – December 29 at 6am
• December 29 at 6am – January 5 at 6am

Schedule:

• Locum only
• 24-hour call shifts, approximately 7–8 consecutive days/nights of call
• Average number of surgical cases per day: 1

Requirements:

• Must be able to cover all listed dates
• Board Certified (ABNS) or Board Eligible
• Iowa License or IMLC/LOQ (Copy of IMLC required at time of name clear)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, APLS, NALS or ATLS
• Experience with adult and trauma neurosurgery cases
• Comfortable with spinal, lumbar & thoracic instrumentation

• Cranial Burr Holes
• Intracranial Pressure Monitor or Insertion
• Intracranial Hemorrhage
• Tumor Removal
• Brain Bleed Stoppage
• Trauma Repair
• Shunt Insertion or Revision
• Stereotactic Radiosurgery
• Traumatic Brain Injury
• Neurocritical Conditions
• Ventricular Taps
• Ventriculoperitoneal Shunt/Taps/Reprogramming
• Ventriculostomy
• Spine Surgery Procedures: Discectomy, Laminectomy, Spinal Fusion, Spine Stabilization and Reconstruction
• Lumbar Puncture
• Placement of Lumbar Drains
• CSF Sampling from Shunts or External Ventricular Drains
• Management and Interpretation of ICP and CPP Data
• External Ventricular Drain Management
