Facility in need of a locum hematologist/oncologist to provide ongoing coverage.

Job Details:
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days

• Practice Setting: Inpatient consult service, outpatient clinic & infusion center (Cancer Center attached to hospital)
• Call Ratio: 1 in 5
• Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
• Practice Focus: Primarily hematology
• Physicians in Practice: 6
• Radiation Oncologists: Present during coverage
• APPs: 5 inpatient (covering 2 hospitals), 6 outpatient
• Average Daily Census:
  • Hospital (Call/Rounding): 10–15 patients
  • Outpatient Clinic: 15 patients
• EMR: Epic

Start Date:

• October – Ongoing

Schedule:

• Outpatient Clinic: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
• After-hours call: 5pm–7am, shared call pool with APP support

Requirements:

• Board Certified
• Active Michigan License (strongly preferred; will consider candidates needing to obtain license)
• BLS Certification

Clinical Areas:

• Hematology – Outpatient & Inpatient
• Oncology – Outpatient & Inpatient

Required Procedures:

• FNA/Biopsy

Required Duties:

• Participation on a Tumor Board
• Ordering tests and imaging
• Prescribing
