Facility in need of a locum neurosurgeon to provide 24-hour call coverage for urgent and emergent Level I trauma cases.

Job Details:

• 24-hour call, 1 week per month, ongoing
• Daily shift hours: 8am–12pm
• Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: 1–2 emergent
• Practice Setting: Hospital
• Trauma Level: I
• EMR: Epic
• Neurosurgeons in Practice: 1 employed, 1 non-employed
• Patient Demographic: Adult and Geriatric (emergent cases through ED)

Start Date:

• Late August 

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Neurosurgery
• Must be available for full coverage from late August through early September 
• Ohio License
• BLS, ACLS

Responsibilities/Skills:

• Neurosurgery Cases – Adult

• Brain Bleed Stoppage
• Clot Removal
• Tumor Removal
• Trauma Repair
• Shunt Insertion or Revision
• Spine Surgery Procedures:
  • Spine Stabilization and Reconstruction
  • Vertebroplasty and Kyphoplasty
  • Spinal Fusion
  • Laminectomy
  • Diskectomy
